The Ministry of Grace – World Premiere -February 4 – March 1
A grand, sweeping story of friendship and redemption.
It’s 1950 in the deserts of Southern California. Evangelist Brother Cain has a booming trade; his tent revival show moves from town to town, fleecing crowds desperate for something to believe in. When he discovers Mary, a Ntlaka’pamux woman from the Nicola Valley, reading the bible, he puts her onstage, renames her Grace, and displays her as a miracle: an Indian who can read.
It’s like a sprawling Steinbeck novel – a real saga – of encountering hypocrisy and evil, while clinging to the beliefs that guide you. Produced by the Belfry and created by an all-Indigenous team, including designer Andy Moro and writer/director Tara Beagan, one of our leading playwrights.
Starring Sheldon Elter (Clem), PJ Prudat (Mary), Lara Schmitz (Lizzie Mae), and Stafford Perry (Brother Cain)

Kaleidoscope Theatre’s The House at Pooh Corner – February 22-23
Based on the stories by A.A. Milne, adapted by Roderick Glanville, Christopher Robin has called a “mergency” meeting. He has decided to run away with his friends Eeyore, Owl, Piglet, Kanga, tiny Roo, Tigger and, of course, Pooh himself. They will probably go to the North Pole or to the South Pole. Why? There is a dark, mysterious threat that Christopher Robin is to be sent away to “Education.” Nobody knows exactly what or where that is, and if he’s sent to such a distant place, what can his friends possibly do without him? So it’s generally agreed that they’ll run away. From discovering what to feed Tigger (no haycorns, no honey, no thistles) to playing Poohsticks over the bridge, the friends are bound only by their childhood imaginations in this delightful adventure in the Hundred Acre Wood.
Featuring Hailey Fowler, Mark Hellman, Elliott Loran, David Radford, & Kirsten Van Ritzen
Performance Times:
Saturday, February 22 – 4pm
Sunday, February 23 – 2pm
All performances take place at: The McPherson Playhouse – #3 Centennial Square, Victoria. Purchase tickets here.

Saanich Braves 2019/2020 Season
The Saanich Junior Braves Hockey Club is one of the longest existing premier Junior B franchises in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League. Our leadership group have work hard to develop strong organizational policies, values, and beliefs.
Our mandate is to provide a high-quality competitive atmosphere for our players, to provide an opportunity for them to further advance in hockey and ultimately throughout life. This we believe will help to continue the strong hockey tradition in Saanich.

We want to make everyone proud of these young athletes and help to embrace our program on and off the ice. We recognize the efforts of our volunteers, corporate partners and the fans who have a vested interest in these athletes both as hockey players and “men in the community”.
